YOGYAKARTA President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto continues to encourage the acceleration of the development of health services throughout Indonesia, especially in the 3T area. So, what is a 3T area?

According to VOI, previously the Minister of Health (Menkes) Budi Gunadi Sadikin said that President Prabowo wanted 514 districts/cities to have hospitals with complete facilities and optimal services.

"He wants 514 districts and cities for all hospitals to be good," said the Minister of Health after facing Prabowo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 5, 2025 night.

He added that the construction of health facilities in the 3T area is one of the priority of the president.

The term 3T is an acronym for Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost. Referring to Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 63 of 2020 concerning the Determination of Disadvantaged Regions for 2020-2024, the 3T area is defined as a district area where the region and community are less developed compared to other regions on a national scale. Then from the geographical side, it is located in the leading and outermost regions of Indonesia.
