Support MBG, Minister Wihaji Ensures Readiness Of Family Assistance Teams

JAKARTA - The Minister of Population and Family Development (Mendukgaga) Dr. H. Wihaji, S.Ag., M.Pd. gave directions to the Family Assistance Team (TPK) to finalize the preparation of the Free Nutrition Food program (MBG) for pregnant women (bumil), breastfeeding mothers (feeding) and non-PAUD toddlers in Madiun City (26/2/2025). The briefing took place at the GCIO of the Madiun City Communication and Information Office.

Wihaji accompanied by Deputy Mayor of Madiun, Bagus F. Panuntun revealed, "At least there are hundreds of TPKs that will be on duty. They will later distribute MBG packages for the three targets. Yes, the distribution of MBG packages, pregnant women, breastfeeding, and toddlers is different from the MBG packages for school children. Packages will be distributed to target residences. If collected in one place it is clearly impossible. Therefore, officers need to distribute it. Luckily we have a family companion team," said Minister Wihaji.

Currently the government is preparing target data. Of course, there are more than ten thousand targets. Starting from pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers. One officer can deliver hundreds of packages. As is known, the MBG program does not only target school children and students in Islamic boarding schools. But also developed by targeting pregnant, breastfeeding, and toddlers in the future. Fulfillment of nutrition for the three targets is expected to reduce stunting rates.

Previously at the PPPA DPPKB in Madiun Regency, Wihaji advised dozens of PKK women and family assistance teams (TPK) from the Madiun area. Among them will be involved in education and distribution of MBG for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and toddlers.

"The Minister of Education and Culture is proud to say that if the family is good, then the state will also be good. God willing, if the family is good then the country is good," said Wihaji.
