JAKARTA - The National Commission on Human Rights (Komnas HAM) has confirmed that it will oversee the legal process for alleged human rights violations during the demonstrations that took place at the end of August 2025. According to Saurlin P Siagian, S.Sos., M.A., Commissioner of the Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM), "The legal process is underway, and we will continue to monitor it until the trial is complete. We have already monitored the trial at the National Police's Propam (Propam) Unit. We have also communicated with the National Police's Criminal Investigation Unit (Bareskrim Polri) to monitor this case, and they are open to Komnas HAM's presence," he said.
