VIDEO: Exclusive, Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah Confirms Minimum Wage Increases Every Year

JAKARTA - Every year there are demands for an increase in drinking wages by workers. This condition is of concern to the Minister of Manpower, Dr. Hj. Ida Fauziyah, Msi., who is trying to find a middle way between the interests of workers and entrepreneurs. One of them is by issuing Government Regulation Number 51 of 2023 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages. Through this new regulation, the minimum wage will certainly increase, so it is hoped that this will minimize the debate that has occurred so far. The certainty of increasing the minimum wage is obtained through the application of the Minimum Wage Formula in PP Number 51 of 2023 which includes 3 variables, namely inflation, economic growth and a certain index (symbolized in the form α).
