Nikita Willy Reveals the Importance of Choosing Comfortable Diapers for Baby's Sensitive Skin

JAKARTA - Baby skin is known to be much more sensitive than adults because it is still in the development stage. The protective layer of the skin (skin barrier) has not been formed perfectly, so it is easier to experience irritation due to friction, moisture, and environmental exposure.

This condition makes parents need to be more careful in choosing products that come into direct contact with the baby's skin, including diapers that are used daily.

Actress Nikita Willy, who also had a shared experience as a parent in choosing diapers. He said, choosing diapers with the right material for children is very important to maintain skin health, especially in sensitive areas.

"As a mother, I realize the importance of choosing diapers with the right material because they are used almost all day. I always choose ones that are soft, breathable, and have good absorption so that baby's skin stays dry and comfortable," said Nikita Willy.

What Nikita Willy did was apparently in line with medical guidelines regarding the condition of baby skin which is still vulnerable and needs extra attention in treatment.

According to dr. July Iriani Rahardja, one important aspect is to keep the skin of the folds and diaper area dry, because excessive moisture is one of the main triggers of skin problems, especially in covered areas such as diaper areas.

"Baby skin has a protective structure and function that is not yet perfectly developed, so it is more vulnerable to various external factors and requires extra attention in daily care," he explained in a press statement from Makuku Slim Luxury Silky to VOI, Tuesday, April 28.

Therefore, the selection of diaper material is important because it is used for a long time and in direct contact with the baby's skin.

"Soft and breathable materials can help reduce friction while maintaining the balance of baby's skin. One of the natural materials that has these characteristics is silk, which is known to be light, smooth, and able to maintain good air circulation," added July.

Diapers not only serve as a container, but also play a role in maintaining comfort and supporting the baby's daily activities. In this context, parents also need to be more careful in choosing the right diapers for their little ones.
