Myths About Anyang-yangan, Can You Really Cure Alone Without Treatment?

JAKARTA Not a few people consider those who love or want to urinate constantly but only a few come out, as mild health problems that can heal on their own.

Just drink lots of water or compress the lower abdomen with warm water, then hope the symptoms subside. However, is it true that this is effective, especially if those who love are symptoms of urinary tract stones?

dr. Hasartita Lawrenti, Medical Manager of PT Kalbe Farma Tbk explained that this assumption was not entirely true. According to him, it is important to understand the causes behind the memories before taking independent action.

"If those who are caused by mild urinary tract infection (ISK) may still improve by drinking large amounts of water. Sufficient fluids can help drain bacteria out of the urinary tract," said dr. Hastarita at a press conference 1001 by Nephrolit in Depok, West Java, recently.

However, he emphasized that if the condition has entered a moderate or severe degree, treatment with water is not enough.

In this case, additional treatment is needed, such as antibiotics, and of course it must be consulted with a doctor.

In addition to water consumption, another myth is that not a few people try to compress the warm water in the lower abdomen to deal with discomfort. According to dr. Hastarita, this action does not directly cure those who love it.

The warm water compress only helps relieve discomfort or mild pain, but does not cure infections or disorders that are at the root of the problem.

"Urinary tract organs are located inside, so a warm water compress provides more suggestions that make the stomach feel more comfortable. But that's not the main solution," he explained.

These professions tend to have a habit of drinking less water, rarely moving, and often holding back urinary movements, which can trigger early symptoms in the form of yangyangan or disura.

Wenda Suyatno, an online motorcycle taxi partner, is a real example. He often experiences incomplete urination and pain in the lower abdomen due to holding back urine in order to pursue an order target. Due to cost and time constraints, many drivers such as Wenda choose to buy medicine at a pharmacy instead of checking themselves with a doctor.

"I quite often experience incomplete urination and pain in the waist area to the lower abdomen. I feel like I often experience these memories when I'm actively taking orders. Therefore, I often hold urinating, because if the order is not on time, it will affect the service star," said Wenda.

As a form of concern for this problem, Kalbe through PT HexphaRM Jaya Laboratories initiated an educational campaign entitled "1001 Actions with Nephrolit", which involved 1,001 online motorcycle taxi partners in five major cities to take part in health screening and urinary tract education.

The program managed to achieve MURI's Record for health checks with the most online motorcycle taxi drivers participants. This initiative is an important step in preventing urinary tract complications since the initial symptoms of anangyangan appeared, especially among vulnerable professions.
