To celebrate Jakarta's 499th anniversary, a total of 499 dancers held a cultural parade in Culture Beyond Borders: International Cultural Showcase.

JAKARTA - A total of 499 dancers performed a cultural parade and surrounded the Old City area in order to enliven the 499th anniversary of the City of Jakarta, as well as commemorating 13 years of Belantara Budaya Indonesia's journey on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Hundreds of dancers also performed flash mobs and danced together in the Fatahillah Museum field in a series of events titled "Culture Beyond Borders: International Cultural Showcase" which was initiated by Diah Kusumawardani Wijayanti, as the Founder of Belantara Budaya Indonesia.
