LRT City issue in the spotlight, Dony Oskaria calls Adhi Karya

JAKARTA - The Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) and Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dony Oskaria, summoned the Board of Directors of PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk to discuss various problems that occurred at LRT City.

The meeting was held on August 11, 2026. One of the agendas discussed was various complaints from the public regarding the LRT City area. Dony asked Adhi Karya to immediately follow up on the complaints submitted by the public.

In addition, Dony also asked that communication with residents and stakeholders be strengthened so that problems can be resolved immediately.

"All public complaints need to be followed up immediately. Communication with residents also needs to be strengthened, so that existing problems can be resolved immediately," said Dony, quoted from the official BP BUMN Instagram account, Wednesday, August 12.

LRT City is part of the development of an integrated residential area that is connected to mass transportation infrastructure.

Along with the development of the area, BP BUMN and Danantara consider the resolution of aspirations and complaints of the community to be important so that development can provide benefits and comfort for residents.

Dony also encouraged Adhi Karya to ensure that the management of the area is carried out responsibly.

According to him, development is not only oriented towards physical completion, but must also provide a sense of security, comfort, and certainty for the community.

Previously, the Minister of Housing and Spatial Planning (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) ensured that he would follow up on consumer reports regarding the LRT City apartment project which was allegedly not completed.

Ara's firm statement was made amid many consumers who complained to the Ministry of PKP regarding the uncertainty of the delivery of units and the stalling of a number of apartment development projects with the concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) by the state-owned company, PT Adhi Commuter Properti Tbk (ADCP).

"We will handle it immediately, for sure," said Ara when met by reporters at the Inauguration Ceremony of the Central Board of Directors of the Association of All Indonesian Housing and Settlement Developers (Apersi), in Jakarta, Tuesday, July 21.

Not only that, the government will also hold developers accountable for the problem. The reason, said Ara, the problem must be resolved immediately.

"It must be resolved, yes, we will ask for the developer's responsibility (the developer)," he said.

For information, the LRT City apartment project, especially in the Tebet, Ciracas and Cibubur areas, is in the public spotlight due to the stalled development progress and the delay in the handover of units.

The problem came to light after a number of netizens uploaded content related to the current condition of the LRT City, such as LRT City Ciracas to LRT City Cibubur.

The video content is accompanied by a narrative that says consumers have been disappointed by the developer because the apartment that has been promised has not been handed over.
