JAKARTA - Chairman of the Justice Youth Association, Dendi Budiman, urged the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) to immediately conduct an investigative audit and thoroughly investigate alleged irregularities in the implementation of government assignments at PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PT PPI).

The demand was made following the revelation of alleged irregularities in the cyanide import case being handled by the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

According to Dendi, the disclosure of the case must be the gateway for the KPK and BPKP to thoroughly trace the government's governance in PT PPI, ranging from procurement mechanisms, distribution, to internal supervision systems.

"The management of government assignments must be carried out transparently, accountable, and fully in the interests of the country. If there are allegations of irregularities, all parties suspected of being involved must be investigated professionally without discrimination," said Dendi in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 1.

Dendi also mentioned the name Edhy Rizwan as one of the parties who were considered to need to be questioned to clarify the alleged involvement in the series of government assignments at PT PPI, including his alleged role as a controller of the sale and purchase of quotas.

According to him, every examination must be carried out based on evidence, legal facts, and applicable legal regulations.

"Don't let it appear that the law is only sharp downwards but blunt upwards. If there are indications of potential irregularities that could harm the state, the KPK must act quickly, professionally, independently, and without discrimination. There should be no party that feels immune from the law," said Dendi.

In addition, Dendi asked the BPKP to conduct a comprehensive investigative audit of the management of PT PPI, including the use of budgets, government assignment mechanisms, procurement and distribution processes, and all parties suspected of having a role in the decision-making process.

"The state must not be harmed by transparent governance. If the results of audits and inspections find violations, the legal process must be upheld firmly in accordance with applicable regulations. On the other hand, if no violations are found, the results must also be made public as a form of accountability and legal certainty," he said.

Dendi emphasized that his party would continue to monitor the process until there was clarity from law enforcement officials.

The organization hopes that the KPK and BPKP can work objectively, transparently, and professionally to ensure that every alleged deviation is examined based on facts and evidence, while upholding the principle of presumption of innocence.
