JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) through Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) will install a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) gantry frame on the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) E KM 54+100 direction Jakarta.
Senior Manager Representative Office 1 JMT Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun explained that the installation was carried out to optimize supervision and collect actual data related to vehicles with a tonnage of more than or Over Dimension Over Loading (ODOL).
Alvin added that the installation of the Gantry RFID was also carried out towards the target of Indonesia Zero ODOL in 2027.
"The installation of the RFID gantry frame at KM 54+100 is a concrete step by Jasa Marga in accelerating the eradication of ODOL vehicles. Through this advanced monitoring system directly integrated with the WIM sensor, we can identify the vehicle's identity while capturing the actual weight data of the truck," he said as quoted from a written statement, Friday, June 26.
The physical installation process of the gantry frame with scanner technology is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, June 30, starting at 22.00 WIB until Wednesday, July 1 at 05.00 WIB.
To ensure the safety of officers and road users, the company will implement traffic engineering strictly.
During the work, the outer shoulder lane and lane 1 at the project site will be temporarily closed for heavy equipment mobilization. Vehicle traffic heading towards Rorotan is directed entirely to use lanes 2 and 3 which remain operational normally.
The company ensures that security in the JORR corridor area will be carried out in layers by deploying traffic control officers and installing early warning signs at several points before the work site.
Road users are urged to always be alert, obey emergency signs in the field and manage travel time wisely to avoid the accumulation of vehicle volume.
"Jasa Marga apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the process of installing the gantry frame. Jasa Marga also appeals to all road users to always be alert, obey the work signs and follow the instructions of officers in the field," he added.
