Airlangga admits meeting PLN, Bungkam about the issue of the AGM and the change of the Board of Directors

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto is reluctant to talk much about the issue of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPSLB) of PT PLN (Persero) which has recently become a concern.

When asked by reporters about the news of the PLN AGM and the possibility of changes in the board of directors, Airlangga did not provide detailed explanations.

He only confirmed that he had held a meeting with PLN on Thursday morning.

"I had a meeting with PLN this morning," said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace Complex, Thursday, June 18.

When reporters asked again whether there would be an AGM or a change in PLN's main director, Airlangga chose to end the conversation.

"Yes, thank you," he said.

This short answer has made various speculations regarding the PLN corporate agenda unanswered. Until now, there has been no official statement regarding the existence of the RUPSLB or changes in the ranks of the directors of the state electricity company.
