JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI officially launched the digital platform Space by KAI as a means of bringing together the company's strategic assets with investors, business actors, and potential business partners throughout Indonesia.
Director of Business and Business Development of KAI, Rafli Yandra, said that his party has a variety of high-value assets that hold great business potential, ranging from stations, transit areas, commercial spaces, vacant land, buildings to heritage assets spread across various regions.
"Behind transportation, KAI actually has many assets whose value is very fantastic, and also commercially we can actually expect business opportunities from this side," said Rafli at the launch of Space by KAI in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 10.
According to Rafli, some of these assets still have room to be developed more optimally through collaboration with business partners. Therefore, KAI presents Space by KAI as an official platform that connects the company's strategic assets with various business opportunities in a transparent and professional manner.
"Space KAI which we will present as KAI's official platform, can combine strategic assets with business opportunities in a transparent manner, then we can also do it professionally and be ready to be developed together," he said.
Rafli emphasized that Space by KAI not only serves as a catalog of assets. The platform is also an initial gateway for business actors to explore opportunities for cooperation, understand the available business potential, and start the partnership process more easily.
He also highlighted the large market potential owned by KAI. With a target traffic of 560 million passengers this year, KAI offers a captive market that can add value to various business models developed in the railway environment.
"This condition creates a large market and captive so that it can be a value added for the development of various business models," he said.
Furthermore, Rafli hopes that business actors will begin to view KAI as a business ecosystem that provides various collaboration opportunities, not merely a transportation operator.

Furthermore, Anne said, the assets offered include land, buildings, business space at the station, company houses, advertising media to other operational support assets for railways.
