JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga lowered the price of avtur fuel by 10 percent starting Monday, June 1, 2026 in order to support national air transport connectivity.

Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Roberth MV Dumatubun, said the decline in avtur prices at all airports in Indonesia was in line with the dynamics of global energy prices that have occurred in recent times.

"In order to support national air connectivity, maintain the competitiveness of the aviation industry, and ensure the sustainability of the provision of energy for the air transport sector, Pertamina Patra Niaga has adjusted the domestic avtur price which is effective starting June 1, 2026," said Roberth as quoted by Antara, Senon this morning.

According to him, on average nationally, the price of Avtur in June 2026 fell by 10 percent compared to the May 2026 period.

For example, the price of Avtur at the Aviation Fuel Terminal (AFT) Soekarno-Hatta (CGK) has dropped from Rp24,580 per liter to Rp22,190 per liter.

Meanwhile, the price of Avtur at AFT Ngurah Rai (DPS) decreased from Rp26,190 per liter to Rp23,480 per liter, and AFT Kualanamu (KNO) decreased from Rp25,720 per liter to Rp23,090 per liter.

"The magnitude of the reduction at each airport varies according to the applicable formula and takes into account distribution and logistics factors," he said.

Roberth added that the adjustment of jet fuel prices is carried out periodically every month based on applicable provisions.

The calculation refers to the average (average) international publication price in a period with the main reference Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) Kerosene/Jet as a regional benchmark.

Throughout May 2026, global energy prices showed a downward trend which was then reflected in the Avtur price for the June 2026 period.

Roberth also said that the price adjustment was part of a transparent mechanism and followed the dynamics of the global energy market.

The adjustment of the avtur price is carried out by referring to the formula set by the regulator, namely the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and considering the development of global energy prices.

"When global energy prices move down, the adjustment will be reflected in the price of avtur according to the applicable mechanism," said Roberth.

Furthermore, Roberth explained that the policy is part of Pertamina Patra Niaga's efforts to maintain a balance between commercial aspects, supply sustainability, and service reliability to all aviation service users.

"This price adjustment is expected to have a positive impact on domestic flight activities, support the development of national tourism, increase inter-regional connectivity, and encourage regional economic growth," he said.

With a more competitive price, it is hoped that the aviation industry can continue to grow and provide wider benefits for the community.

For the international aviation segment, jet fuel prices follow market developments and the level of competition in the regional area to maintain national competitiveness, while prioritizing the fulfillment of domestic aviation needs as a priority in managing aviation energy supply.

Currently, Pertamina Patra Niaga serves the national avtur needs through 72 aviation fuel terminals (AFT), which are spread across various regions of Indonesia, including strategic main airports and pioneer airports.

"Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that the supply of Avtur remains safe and reliable throughout the aviation fuel terminal network to support the smooth operation of domestic and international flights," said Roberth.

Pertamina Patra Niaga, he continued, will continue to monitor the development of the global energy market and coordinate with the government to ensure reliable, competitive, and sustainable aviation energy services in supporting national air connectivity.
