SIG Dispatches 292 Sacrificed Animals for the Community around the Operation Area in 19 Provinces

JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) on Eid al-Adha 1447 H distributed 292 sacrificial animals consisting of 186 cows and 106 goats. The distribution of sacrificial animals was carried out gradually from May 19, 2026 to May 26, 2026 through mosques, foundations, boarding schools, and residential communities around the company's operating area.

The distribution area of sacrificial animals from the SIG is spread across 19 provinces, including Aceh (Aceh Besar), Riau (Dumai), West Sumatra (Padang), Lampung (Bandar Lampung and South Lampung), Bengkulu, South Sumatra (Palembang and Ogan Komering Ulu), DKI Jakarta, Banten (Cilegon), West Java (Bogor and Karawang), Central Java (Kendal, Rembang, Blora, Demak, Banyumas and Cilacap), East Java (Tuban, Gresik, Probolinggo and Banyuwangi), Bali (Buleleng), West Kalimantan (Mempawah), East Kalimantan (Samarinda), South Sulawesi (Pangkep, Makassar), West Sulawesi (Mamuju), Southeast Sulawesi (Kendari), North Maluku (Tidore Islands), to West Papua (Sorong).

SIG Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, Eid al-Adha is an opportunity to strengthen the value of concern and the spirit of sharing, especially for people around the company's operating area. Through the distribution of sacrificial animals, SIG wants to bring benefits that are felt directly by the community while strengthening harmony with stakeholders.

"As a form of support for the local economy, SIG purchases sacrificial animals from MSMEs in each of the company's operating regions, and ensures that all sacrificial animals that are distributed have undergone health tests so that they are safe and suitable for consumption. Our hope is that SIG's presence not only contributes to development, but also brings real benefits to the community and the surrounding environment," said Vita Mahreyni, in a statement, Wednesday, May 27.

The gratitude and thanks were conveyed by the Head of Pasucen Village, Kecamaten Gunem, Rembang Regency, Central Java, Salamun. According to him, this sacrificial animal assistance is routinely given every Eid al-Adha to be distributed to the residents of Pasucen village. Salamun admitted that the presence of SIG has a positive impact on the welfare of his village.

"In addition to the momentum of Eid al-Adha, many programs have been given to our residents such as the Urban Community Forum (FMM) for village independence, assistance to village MSMEs, to operational assistance for villages. Alhamdulillah, SIG always cares about our residents, hopefully SIG can always provide benefits for the wider community," said Salamun.
