JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) stated that electricity in Aceh recovered gradually after the 275 kV Muara Bungo-Sungai Rumbai transmission disruption due to extreme weather that affected parts of Sumatra on Friday (22/5).
"PLN continues to accelerate normalization so that the electricity supply in the affected areas can immediately return to the Customer," said PLN UID Aceh Communication & TJSL Manager, Lukman Hakim, quoted by Antara.
Lukman explained that 17 of the total 21 affected substations had been successfully restored as of Saturday at 05:00 WIB.
He said to ensure the repair and normalization of the supply disruption, PLN deployed hundreds of personnel who worked non-stop.
"Currently, the team continues to work hard to ensure that all electricity in Aceh returns to normal after a total blackout due to supply disruptions," he said.
