JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) encourages the implementation of the green corridor concept on the Prambanan-Purwomartani Toll Road which is part of the Jogja-Solo Toll Road.

This was conveyed during AHY's working visit to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY), Friday, April 24, to review a number of strategic programs as well as to ensure that equitable development is on target.

In addition to reviewing the construction of the toll road, AHY also directly saw the implementation of the Green and Blue Open Space (RTHB) program through tree planting activities on the side of the toll road.

The program is expected to provide infrastructure that is not only modern and functional, but also environmentally friendly, strengthening water conservation, reducing pollution and improving the quality of urban areas.

Special Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Communication and Public Information Herzaky Mahendra Putra said that the working visit was aimed at ensuring that the implementation of the program was in accordance with the President's Astacita Prabowo Subianto.

"This working visit is part of the government's strategic steps to ensure that development is not only focused on large-scale infrastructure projects, but also touches on fundamental aspects such as education, the quality of people's settlements and people's welfare," Herzaky said, quoted from a written statement, Saturday, April 25.

During the visit, AHY also reviewed the construction of the People's School in Kulon Progo which is one of the national priority programs to alleviate poverty through education.

The program is aimed at opening access to learning for the poor, providing a decent educational environment and building superior human resources towards the Golden Indonesia 2045.

According to Herzaky, strengthening the education infrastructure is an important foundation so that every Indonesian child has the same opportunity to improve their standard of living.

"People's schools are not just about building school buildings, but building hope, breaking the chain of poverty and preparing a competitive future generation," he said.

In addition, AHY also reviewed the arrangement of residential areas in Mrican, Sleman, and Lampion Kotabaru Village.

The program is aimed at improving the quality of people's housing, improving the environment and creating healthier and more productive areas.

Meanwhile, based on data from PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk as of April 15, 2026, the construction progress of the segment has reached 94.8 percent.

Jasa Marga also plans to build an access to the Purwomartani Toll Gate (GT) Exit along about 1.95 kilometers which leads to the Bokoharjo area.

Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A. Purwantono said the construction of the access was a follow-up to the discussion of accelerating the project which is targeted to support the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) 2026/2027 operations as well as Lebaran 2027.

"This visit is a follow-up to the results of the meeting discussing the request for acceleration of the construction of the Bokoharjo Toll Road Jogja-Solo access which is targeted to support the operational readiness of Nataru 2026/2027 and Lebaran 2027," said Rivan as quoted from an official statement.
