JAKARTA - PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN) strengthens the management of national energy distribution through the use of digital technology, especially through an integrated ship fleet monitoring system.
Director of Logistics Armada PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Arif Yunianto said, the management of this system is carried out through the Command Centre at the Pertamina Headquarters which is the center for daily monitoring of ship operations, both owned and chartered ships.
"From this room, the movement of the fleet is monitored thoroughly, from position, speed, to the progress of sailing on each distribution route," he said, Wednesday, April 15.
Through an integrated data-based system, continued Arif, monitoring is carried out in real-time so as to provide a more complete visibility of fleet movements.
This allows the operational team to anticipate potential delays and make operational adjustments faster and more accurately.
In addition, the monitoring system is also equipped with CCTV-based surveillance installed on the ship.
CCTV snapshots are sent periodically to the ground and displayed in an operational dashboard, so that activities on the ship can continue to be monitored.
"With an integrated monitoring system, we have better visibility of fleet movements. This allows us to respond to operational dynamics faster and maintain the accuracy of energy distribution in various regions," continued Arif.
This system is equipped with alert and reporting features that allow early detection of various operational conditions, so that decision-making can be done faster and data-based.
Digitalization also encourages transparency in the management of energy distribution, including through the use of monitoring systems that can be accessed together with charter ship partners.
In addition, this system is also equipped with fraud detection features to identify potential operational irregularities.
The strengthening of this system is supported by the implementation of Enhanced Daily Tanker Position (EDTP) 3.0 which presents an increase in system stability and more comprehensive integration of operational data.
Arif further said that the use of features such as geofencing and the integration of geographic data, including weather and shipping routes, also supports more accurate operational decision-making.
This system is also monitored by the Pertamina Integrated Digital Command Center (PIDCC) or Pertamina Hub, which is an integrated digital control center that consolidates various operational data in real time in one platform.
This integration allows for comprehensive fleet monitoring in a centralized ecosystem, supported by visual data from CCTV on board to strengthen operational visibility.
Not only ensuring the smooth distribution, this system is also a proactive step in mitigating potential irregularities and operational risks in the field.
Arif added that the use of this technology is not only focused on the aspect of monitoring, but also ensures that energy distribution can run sustainably and respond to the needs in various regions.
"In principle, what we monitor is not only the movement of the fleet, but also ensuring that energy can continue to be distributed sustainably and reliably for people in various regions," said Arif.
