With this achievement, there are still 699,331 seats that can be used by the public for the return flow.
"The trend of traveling home by train continues to increase since mid-March. On the long-distance train service, ticket sales have reached 3,292,121 tickets or 92.2 percent of the total 3,571,760 seats provided. This means that there are still 279,639 seats that can be booked by the public for the return journey.
Meanwhile, on the Local Train service managed by KAI, ticket sales were recorded at 438,203 tickets or 47.3 percent of the total 926,936 seats available. Thus, there are still 488,733 seats that customers can use. Sales of local train tickets generally continue to increase closer to the departure date because most new services can be booked starting from H-7.

Along with this increase, the volume of customers and daily occupancy rate of Long-Distance Trains on March 11-20, 2026 showed a trend that continued to move up, as follows:
March 11: 101,617 customers from 159,404 seating capacity (63.7 percent)• March 12: 126,208 customers from 159,404 seating capacity (79.2 percent)• March 13: 165,675 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (101.4 percent)• March 14: 185,873 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (113.7 percent)• March 15: 180,836 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (110.6 percent)• March 16: 173,753 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (106.3 percent)• March 17: 191,413 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (117.1 percent)• March 18: 205,842 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (125.9 percent)• March 19: 196,324 customers from 163,432 seating capacity (120.1 percent)• March 20: 167,659 customers from 160,252 seating capacity (104.6 percent)Entering March 21, 2026, customer movement is still monitored high. Until this morning, at least 174,198 Long Distance Railway customers have been scheduled to travel with a temporary occupancy rate of 108.1 percent in this day alone. This number is still potentially increasing as ticket sales continue.
Anne added that the occupancy rate of more than 100 percent was possible in long-distance train operations due to the dynamic travel pattern in one series.
"In a long-distance train journey, one seat can be used by more than one customer on a different relationship. This scheme allows a greater number of customers to be served than the number of seats available in one journey," said Anne.
