Meanwhile, General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Heru Karyadi said that from March 13 to March 19, 2026, Soekarno-Hatta Airport has cumulatively served 1,231,796 passengers with 8,211 aircraft movements or grew by 8.3 percent for passengers and 5.7 percent for aircraft movements compared to the same period last year.
"The increase in the number of passengers and aircraft movements shows the high mobility of the community during the Lebaran period, both for homecoming and vacation. This also reflects the public's confidence in air transportation services," said Heru, quoted by Antara.
He said this growth was driven mainly by an increase in domestic traffic which reached 918,268 passengers or an increase of 11.3 percent, while international traffic was relatively stable with 313,528 passengers.
According to him, the peak of the Lebaran 2026 reverse flow at Soekarno-Hatta Airport is predicted to occur on March 28, 2026, with an estimated movement of 198,387 passengers with 1,221 flights.
