JAKARTA - PT Pertamina EP (PEP) Zone 4 reported that PEP Limau Field recorded an increase in oil production in the last month.
On February 27, 2026, PEP Limau Field recorded oil production of 5,102 barrels per day (BOPD). This production capacity increased significantly compared to January 16, 2026, which was at 3,658 BOPD. This achievement supports the increase in PEP Zone 4 production in early 2026.
"The increase in Limau Field production is the result of the consistency of PEP Zone 4 in efforts to support the sustainable increase in national oil and gas production. Of course, this good record supports the realization of national energy security," said General Manager of PEP Zone 4 Djudjuwanto, Friday, March 6.
Djudjuwanto added that this increase in production was accompanied by the commitment of PEP Zone 4 to prioritize occupational safety through the implementation of strict HSSE management. In addition, collaboration with stakeholders is an important factor in achieving productivity improvements.
"In the midst of efforts to increase production, we still prioritize work safety and operations. We also appreciate the support of stakeholders and local governments so that operational activities can run smoothly and conducive," said Djudjuwanto.
Senior Manager Subsurface Development & Planning PHR Zone 4, Reza Nur Ardianto, explained that the increase in production at the PEP Limau Field in the last month was supported by work on three wells. One of them was the discovery of TMB-026 well in the West Tanjung Miring Structure.
Drilling of the well began on January 22, 2026. This well showed an oil production capacity of 554 BOPD in the initial flow test, February 16, 2026.
In addition, there is a well intervention job at the BEL-053 well in Muara Enim Regency which is able to increase production capacity. The well showed a production capacity of 650 BOPD after the well intervention was carried out for 13 days on February 8-21, 2026.
