JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) collaborated with PT Mega Energi Biru Indonesia (MEBI) and Huawei Digital Power Indonesia to inaugurate the ZORA SPKLU Signature at Scientia, Summarecon Gading Serpong, South Tangerang.
PLN System Transmission and Planning Director Edwin Nugraha Putra explained that with a capacity of 480 kilowatts (kW), this infrastructure is the first Ultra Fast Charging charging unit in Indonesia which is equipped with intelligent Split Charging features and Liquid Cooling System (liquid cooling) technology.
"The cutting-edge technology from Huawei FusionCharge allows SPKLU Signature ZORA to flexibly distribute energy from the main power grid and clean energy sources integrated through the battery energy storage system (Battery Energy Storage System) and is able to operate optimally in all weather conditions," he said, quoted Tuesday, February 27.
He added that the operation of this SPKLU is a tangible manifestation of the commitment of all parties in supporting the Government to provide reliability and convenience for EV users in the country.
He added that the presence of SPKLU also strengthens the national charging infrastructure network which continues to grow. It is recorded that until December 2025, PLN together with its partners have operated 4,655 SPKLU units throughout Indonesia.
He emphasized that strategic collaboration with various partners will continue to be driven to ensure the availability of charging comparable to the massive growth of EV users in the country.
As the most advanced charging infrastructure in Indonesia, this infrastructure consists of 12 DC Ultra Fast Charging connectors and 1 AC Medium Charging connector designed to serve charging in high traffic areas as well as short charging needs (fast turnaround time).
The superiority of this technology is reflected in the very efficient battery charging duration. As an illustration, to achieve State of Charge (SoC) from 10 percent to 80 percent, the medium charging category only takes 50 minutes. While for the ultra fast charging category, the time required is only 20 minutes.
