JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) targets, as many as 700 toll gates can serve contactless transactions of payment cards by 2026. The service will be presented through the Travoy application with the Travoy Go feature which allows vehicles to pass without stopping.
Jasa Marga President Director Rivan Achmad Purwantoro said that through this feature, users can simply drive at a speed of around 20 kilometers per hour. Later, the system will open the toll gate automatically without having to tap the card.
"Currently in Jakarta there are 97 non-stop gates, this year we will add 700 non-stop gates. So, later there will be a combination of most of them without having to tap, just pass at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour can open automatically using Travoy Go in the Travoy application in this application," said Rivan in a press conference Mobile Apps Travoy at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, Monday, February 9.
Rivan added that the development of Travoy will continue to be carried out by considering user experience and various inputs from the community. One of the important features that is also presented is the panic button for emergency conditions on the toll road.
"This is to ensure that when people are in a special event, so there is no need to panic. Just do the automatic panic button, then we will respond and will use patrols to help as well," he said.
According to Rivan, Travoy is designed as a personal assistant for users of the Jasa Marga Group toll road. The application also presents traffic density information with a high level of accuracy.
"The density of this road is not seen from how many people pass by using a mobile phone, but it is really pure seen using radar and 3,500 cameras. So the validation is exactly when it is seen live," said Rivan.
Through the Travoy application, users can monitor traffic conditions on all toll road sections of the Jasa Marga Group, including knowing whether a section is experiencing congestion or not.
In addition, Travoy also provides information to support travel such as rest area locations, the existence of Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU) to accident-prone points or black spots which are planned to be launched before the Lebaran period.
"Now this is important for the people so that when they travel to ensure that when they pass through the vulnerable areas they are more careful," he explained.
Travoy also has a toll transaction service feature. By registering a payment card in the application, users can obtain information about transaction history at all toll gates of the Jasa Marga Group without having to keep physical evidence.
The application also provides emergency assistance services. Users can quickly submit a request for towing or towing directly through the application when faced with obstacles on the toll road.
"This is our effort to ensure that all users of the Jasa Marga toll road can communicate, interact, use all transactions and can feel when entering the toll road, the entire Jasa Marga group has the Jasa Marga application accompanying as a personal assistant," added Rivan.
