PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) opens opportunities for collaboration with various parties, ranging from government agencies, housing developers (developers), real estate, to other private sectors through a mutually beneficial partnership scheme for the development of household natural gas networks (jargas).
PGN Commercial Director Aldiansyah Idham said that the massive construction of Jargas is one of PGN's contributions to supporting the government's energy import growth rate so that it can improve the Current Account Deficit in Oil and Gas.
"PGN is committed that partnerships play an important role in strengthening the pillars of the gas development strategy in various regions," he said, Monday, January 26.
He added, currently PGN has served jargas from more than 821,000 Home Connections (SR) and has a long experience in the construction of more than 19,000 kilometers of pipelines along with Jargas services in various regions.
However, PGN realizes that the challenge of developing natural gas energy infrastructure also requires cross-sector synergy.
Therefore, PGN prioritizes strategic collaboration in order to accelerate the development of Jargas.
One of the collaborations that PGN carried out some time ago was exploring the development of jargas in a property project owned by members of the Real Estate Indonesia (REI).
This cooperation marks an agreement between PGN and the Central Board of Directors of the REI Housing Association (DPP REI) to encourage the use of natural gas in the housing and real estate sectors.
Both PGN and REI are committed to carrying out cooperation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the principles of good corporate governance (Good Corporate Governance).
"This cooperation is of strategic value, because REI has a wide network of members, so it can be a great opportunity to expand the use of jargas and other potential cooperation," said Aldi.
With the technical competence and resources in the development of Jargas that it has, PGN is ready to support REI from design, construction, operation, distribution to maintenance of Jargas in this cooperation.
"We continue to move forward so that the public can access sustainable energy. Jargas is a concrete form of serving wholeheartedly in bringing cleaner, safer, and affordable energy to the public. This commitment is in line with the national energy security mission through the utilization of domestic gas resources," concluded Aldi.
