JAKARTA - PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has entered into a strategic partnership with PT. Siemens Indonesia in order to strengthen the electricity and national industry ecosystem. Through this collaboration, BNI provides financing facilities for Siemens partners and distributors with a total ceiling of IDR 300 billion.
The cooperation includes project financing and working capital financing aimed at supporting the smooth implementation of the project and maintaining the sustainability of the cash flow of Siemens official distributors in Indonesia.
The signing of the cooperation was carried out through a Distributor Financing Corporate Agreement signed by BNI Corporate Banking 1 Division Head Andrean Palonggam and Chief Financial Officer of Siemens Indonesia Yudyliz Sevina Mawuntu in Jakarta, not long ago.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said this collaboration is in line with BNI's strategy in expanding financing based on business ecosystems, especially for global corporations that have a strategic role in the development of the electricity sector, technology, and national manufacturing industries.
"Through this cooperation, BNI ensures structured and competitive financing support for Siemens Indonesia's partners and distributors, so that strategic projects can run optimally and sustainably," Okki said in a written statement.
Through the Distributor Financing scheme, BNI provides financing based on real transactions to Siemens distributors. This scheme is considered to have a more measurable risk profile because it is supported by long-term business relationships between principals and distributors, as well as clear project needs.
Siemens Indonesia is a subsidiary of Siemens AG, a global technology company from Germany, which has been operating in Indonesia since 1973. This company is engaged in the field of electronics manufacturing and technology and has been a BNI customer since 2018, with an operational base in East Jakarta and supported by around 500 employees.
During its operation in Indonesia, Siemens has played a strategic partner in the development of the electricity and industrial sectors through electrification, automation, and digitization solutions. These initiatives support energy transition and the transformation of a more efficient and sustainable industry.
Okki added that financing cooperation based on ecosystems such as this provides benefits for all parties, both principals, distributors, and banks, because it encourages healthy and measurable business growth.
"BNI will continue to expand financing of the ecosystem to support strategic sectors such as energy, electronics, infrastructure, and manufacturing, as well as strengthening BNI's role as a key financial partner for national and global corporations," he concluded.
With the support of financing of IDR 300 billion, the collaboration between BNI and Siemens Indonesia is expected to accelerate the growth of the national electricity industry, encourage investment in strategic sectors, and expand business opportunities for partners and distributors in various regions of Indonesia.
