JAKARTA - The Telkom Akses Construction Directorate has recorded a significant spike in network development throughout 2025, with a 1,250,000 deployment of Optical Distribution Point (ODP) Fiber to The Home (FTTH) ports that have been operational (go live).

"Even though the price has been reduced, we can build twice as much. This shows that our work is becoming more efficient, but the output produced is much larger," said Sinung.
Entering 2026, the challenges of the Construction Directorate are considered increasingly complex in line with TelkomGroup's consolidation in the Danantara ecosystem. In the corporate structure, each entity is required to be able to provide sustainable added value in order to remain relevant.
"If it does not add value, the company could be out. Therefore, the Construction Directorate must prove its contribution," said Sinung.
One of the strategic steps that is being driven is the strengthening of the pattern of self-management of construction. The Construction Directorate targets a self-management portion of 55 percent by 2026, as an effort to increase cost efficiency, profitability, as well as operational independence.
"The jobs that come will be expanded through swakelola. The challenge is to educate friends in the field who used to play the role of waspang, to become reliable manpower managers," he explained.
