Ministry of Industry: Decree of the Minister of Industry 35/2025 Provides Certainty for the Domestic Oil and Gas Industry Market

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) claims that the simplification of the assessment of the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) and supervision of its implementation through the Minister of Industry Regulation (Permenperin) Number 35 of 2025 encourages certainty of the business climate of the domestic oil and gas industry.

The policy is also a key factor in strengthening the competitiveness of the national oil and gas supporting industry.

The Director General of the Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industry (ILMATE) of the Ministry of Industry, Setia Diarta, said the issuance of Permenperin 35/2025 was a strategic step to create a more certain business climate for domestic manufacturers.

"The 2025 Ministry of Industry 35 Year aims to make the TKDN assessment process simpler, faster, and more transparent," said the man who was called Tata in a written statement, quoted Saturday, December 27.

Tata added that supervision of TKDN is also important to maintain healthy business competition and provide market certainty for the national industry, especially in strategic sectors such as oil and gas.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Teknologi Rekayasa Katup (TRK) Soni assessed that the policy to increase the use of domestic products needs to be accompanied by controlling imported products that do not meet standards.

"In addition to the policy of increasing the use of domestic products, other policies must also be synchronized, which can be through the implementation of product valve restrictions (lartas)," he said.

According to him, this control is necessary so that imported valve products do not flood the domestic market and harm the national industry that has invested in technology and quality.

Soni also emphasized the importance of easy access to sustainable and efficient raw materials to support increased production capacity and market expansion.

"The availability of sustainable raw materials will help the industry reduce production costs, maintain consistent quality, and expand domestic and export market share," he explained.

The Ministry of Industry emphasized its commitment to continue to strengthen the domestic oil and gas supporting industry as part of the import substitution strategy and increase the competitiveness of national industries.
