JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI ensures the operational readiness of the Jabodebek LRT to support the smooth running of the 2025 Christmas and New Year 2026 (Nataru) Transportation. A total of 1,419 LRT Jabodebek officers are on alert to ensure security.
The officers consist of train attendants, station officers, ticketing officers, passenger officers, sanitation officers, paramedics, to security officers stationed at stations, train sets, and strategic service points.
KAI has set the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 transportation period to take place from December 18, 2025 to January 4, 2026.
LRT Jabodebek Public Relations Manager, Radhitya Mardika Putra, said that the readiness of human resources was the main factor in maintaining service quality during the year-end holiday period.
"We ensure that all officers are ready to carry out their roles and responsibilities, with a focus on the safety, comfort, and smooth travel of LRT Jabodebek users," said Radhitya in an official statement, Thursday, December 18.
In terms of operations, KAI has increased travel services to accommodate the potential increase in community mobility. On weekdays (weekdays), the Jabodebek LRT operates 26 trainsets with a total of 430 trips per day, an increase from the previous 24 trainsets with 396 trips.
Meanwhile, on weekends and national holidays, 270 trips per day are operated. In addition to operational strengthening, KAI also ensures that all service facilities at the station function optimally.
The facilities include toilets, prayer rooms, elevators, escalators, breastfeeding rooms, and disability-friendly access. A number of stations are also equipped with additional facilities such as co-working spaces, children's play areas, water stations, and vending machines for charging the Multi Trip Card (KMT).
