JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has recorded 695,966 tickets for the 30 percent discount program for Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 transportation have been sold.
KAI Vice President of Corporate Communication Anne Purba said that the 30 percent discount rate would start from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, with a total of 1,509,080 seats prepared.
"Until December 18, 2025 at 08.00 WIB, discounted tickets that have been sold reached 695,966 tickets, or 46 percent of the total capacity available for commercial economy trains," he said in an official statement, Thursday, December 18.
Anne added that the sale of long-distance train tickets was recorded at 1,630,549 tickets, or 59.1 percent of the capacity of 2,761,048 seats.
Meanwhile, the sale of local train tickets reached 116,576 tickets, equivalent to 15.6 percent of the total 745,056 seats.
In total, this achievement is equivalent to 49.8 percent of the total 3,506,104 seats provided during the year-end holiday period.
Based on the temporary monitoring, the highest occupancy rate was recorded at 65.8 percent on H-11, namely Sunday, December 28, 2025.
