JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) ensures that electricity supply in three hospitals (RS) that were affected by hydrometeorological disasters has returned to normal on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

The electricity supply for the Muyang Kute Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Bener Meriah Regency, Datu Beru Hospital in Central Aceh, and Muda Sedia Hospital in Aceh Tamiang has been lit up and ready to serve the needs of the community and victims of hydrometeorological disasters.

"Alhamdulillah, the electricity supply of 3 hospitals affected by the disaster in Aceh has returned to normal. This is important considering that the hospital is one of the most vital facilities in post-disaster recovery conditions," said Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Yuliot in Jakarta, Thursday, December 11.

The entire electricity supply of hospitals in Aceh Tamiang, Gayo Lues, Bener Meriah, and Central Aceh is fully lit with a 20-kilo Volt (kV) system. These three hospitals no longer rely on generators as lighting and electricity sources for medical devices.

The process of restoring access to electricity continues to be pursued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PT PLN (Persero) so that the people of Aceh can do better activities. The entire emergency tower (power emergency) of the High Voltage Air Line (SUTT), both connecting Bireuen-Peusangan and Bireuen-Arun, has been completed.

As a commitment to accelerating disaster management, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has also deployed a Disaster Preparedness ESDM Team, consisting of health workers, a team to search for victims, and heavy equipment support that continues to monitor field conditions directly and regulate logistics distribution.

This joint team has carried out recovery and evacuation by deploying heavy equipment.

Not only that, logistical assistance from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources will also be flown to affected areas.

All aid was mobilized through Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base and Soekarno Hatta Airport before being distributed to disaster location points, with the determination of the next distribution point carried out by BNPB.

The logistical assistance is in the form of ready-to-eat food, cooking oil, milk, rice, diapers, sanitary napkins, blankets, tents, masks, medicines, and vitamins, as well as the provision of stoves and LPG gas.

"Aid will be put on cargo aircraft today to 3 airport points, Lhokseumawe, Sibolga (Pinangsori) and Minangkabau Airport," Yuliot concluded.
