Meanwhile, continued Aan, the total quota for free homecoming by bus this time was provided as many as 3,090 passengers and 60 motorcycles.

"This program is presented to help the needs of people who want to return to their hometowns or travel quite far," said Aan in an official statement, Thursday, December 11.

"Registration will be closed if the quota has been fully met," he said.

Aan said, free homecoming participants can re-register or validate the post at the Head Office of the Ministry of Transportation and Bulungan GOR Blok M South Jakarta.

"The latest information about free homecoming can be seen on the Mitra Darat application through the Nusantara Hub platform or Instagram social media of the Directorate General of Hubdat," he added.

Aan said the free homecoming program this time will be dispatched to 10 destination cities including Solo, Wonosobo, Semarang, Wonogiri, Cilacap, Purwokerto, DI Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang and Madiun.

The bus departure will be carried out from the Pulogebang Terminal in Jakarta on December 23, 2025. The transportation of motorbikes by truck will be carried out from the same Terminal on December 22, 2025 to the cities of Solo and Yogyakarta," he explained.

Aan also appealed to people who will return to their hometowns or travel in the context of the Nataru holiday to participate in the free homecoming program, either organized by the Ministry of Transportation or other agencies, especially for those planning to ride two-wheeled vehicles.

"We hope that this free homecoming program can prevent people from going home on motorbikes, especially at a fairly long distance. We do not recommend going home on motorbikes because it is more risky an accident," he said.
