Pertamina Supply 72 Bright Gas Tubes To The Bener Meriah Area With The Sling Load Method

Pertamina carried out a sampling load method using a helicopter as an effort to accelerate the distribution of LPG to the Bener Meriah area whose land access was cut off due to the disaster.

Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Mars Ega Legowo Putra said that 72 kg of Bright Gas shipments were carried out using the sampling load method or depending on cables / safety slits, plastic support palettes, and net safety, and security measures had been checked with each stage through checking and strict safety procedures.

"Before it was sent, the limit for the height of the helicopter, the length of the cable/sling, to the preparation of LPG so that this energy assistance arrived quickly, but remains safe for all teams and people waiting in Bener Meriah," said Mars, Wednesday, December 10.

Mars Ego said that this delivery was also a form of close collaboration with BNPB, TNI, Polri and all related elements together with Pertamina officers.

"On the field, we don't work alone. Efforts to accelerate the distribution of LPG to Bener Meriah can occur because of strong cooperation and coordination, so that people can immediately feel the benefits," he said. .

Delivery using the Sikorsky S-61A helicopter that took off from Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, Banda Aceh. Exactly an hour later, the helicopter arrived at Malikussaleh Airport and immediately lifted the first package without landing, in order to speed up the travel time to Rembele Airport, Bener Meriah.

After delivering the first package, the helicopter returned to Malikussaleh to pick up the second package, and so on the third package to close the rapid distribution series through this method.

"The whole process is carried out without a long pause, without waiting, because every minute means a lot to people waiting for energy assistance," he continued.

Pertamina Patra Niaga's Corporate Secretary, Roberth explained, a total of 72 12 kg Bright Gas tubes were packaged in three shipping packages.

Each package contains 24 tubes that are ready to be distributed for the needs of cooking public kitchens, evacuation posts, and residents in affected locations.

"Every shipment of LPG cylinders is arranged upright or vertical with a valve facing the top and above the pallet equipped with a cargo net to stabilize during handling and landing. We have coordinated and analyzed this sling load method by BNPB and HSE Pertamina at the level of security," said Roberth.

Pertamina telah melakukan pengiriman BBM maupun elpiji melalui berbagai moda udara sejak tanggal 3 desember seperti pesawat perintis, pesawat hercules, namun untuk penggunaan helikopter dengan metode sling load baru kali ini dilakukan.

“Kami akan melalukan segala cara termasuk dengan berbagai moda udara untuk membawa energi yang dapat menghidupkan dapur umum, menghangatkan makanan, dan membantu aktivitas kebutuhan dasar warga di tengah keterbatasan," tutupnya.

Pertamina telah melakukan pengiriman BBM maupun LPG melalui berbagai moda udara sejak tanggal 3 dember seperti pesawat pembirian, pesawat hercules, namun untuk penggunaan hewan dengan metode sling load baru kali ini dilakukan.

"We will do everything we can, including by various air modes to bring energy that can revive public kitchens, warm food, and help the basic needs of residents in the midst of limitations," he concluded.
