Here's An Update On Post-Disaster Electricity Supply, East Aceh 12 Percent, Beneur Meriah 21 Percent

JAKARTA - President Director of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) Darmawan Prasodjo apologized for the electricity supply in Aceh after the flood and landslide disaster so far has not fully recovered.

He admitted that he had many difficulties in the field, the breakdown of access and massive damage had hampered the electricity recovery process.

Dalam laporannya, Darmawan menjelaskan bahwa bencana telah menyebabkan kerusakan besar pada sistem kelistrikan Aceh, terutama pada jaringan penularan.

"We, the team, continue to work fully to recover the electricity system in Aceh," said Darmawan, Tuesday, December 9.

Based on PLN data, on December 9 at 06.00, there are several districts whose electricity has been turned on 100 percent, while other districts have only reached 12 percent.

The districts that have reached 100 percent include Aceh Besar which has 23 sub-districts, South Aceh which has 18 sub-districts, Subulussalam Regency 5 districts, Aceh Singkil with 11 districts and Langsa Regency with 5 sub-districts.

Meanwhile, East Aceh Regency, it is known that the electricity has just turned on in 62 villages out of a total of 453 villages or only 12 percent.

Furthermore, the Bener Meriah Regency area has 49 villages that are lit while 184 villages have been extinguished or the equivalent of 21 percent.

Then Aceh Tamiang Regency only reached 23 percent of the area or there were 162 villages that were still out of power and 51 villages that were on.

As for the Gayo Lues area, out of 3 sub-districts, only 73 villages were on, while 75 villages were still out or only 49 percent were electrified.

In Central Aceh Regency, there are 295 burning villages and 102 blackout villages. Thus, only 65 percent of the land is on.

Bireuen Regency, electricity has been successfully turned on in 427 villages, while 182 villages are still out or only 70 percent of the area has turned on.

Pidie sebesar 78 persen wilayah telah berhasil alam dan ditargetkan kembali normal pada 22 Desember 2025.

For the North Aceh region, 88 percent of the region has returned to light and is targeted to recover by December 11, 2025.

Kabupaten Aceh Barat sebanyak 319 desa menyala dan 2 desa padam, atau 98 persen wilayah telah kembali teraliri listrik.

Kabupaten Nagan Raya sebanyak 219 desa telah menyala dan 3 desa masih padam. Adapun tingkat pemulihan telah mencapai 98 persen.
