JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk. (WSKT) has again obtained a project in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan. This time, the company will build Buildings and Areas of the Indonesian House of Representatives in IKN worth IDR 1.84 trillion.
The signing of the work contract was carried out by the IKN Authority together with Waskita Karya President Director Muhammad Hanugroho with Operations Director I Waskita Karya Ari Asmoko.
The project is targeted to be completed within two years. It is hoped that by the end of 2027 it will be completed.
Ari explained that WSKT will work on DPR A, B1 and C1 Buildings. Then, Jalan Blok DPR I, Pedestrian & Cyclist's Entrance, sports facilities and the landscape of the DPR I Block area.
"This project aims to provide a comfortable workspace for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) legislative institutions," Ari said in a written statement, Friday, December 5.
The DPR building covering an area of about 85,903 square meters also functions as a policy maker's center.
"It is hoped that the building can make it easier for ASN and DPR members to carry out their duties," he said.
In contrast to the DPR building in Jakarta, Ari revealed, the legislative office in IKN was built using the green building concept for lifting the Breathe Facade design. Then for the fasad, put forward Wastra Nusantara and Pilots and Serambi.
"Wastra Nusantara is a traditional fabric art inherited by Indonesian cultural diversity, so that each region has its own uniqueness. It is displayed with vertical, horizontal and diagonal line composition on the design of the building," he said.
