Minister Of Finance Reveals That He Will Be Given A Gift From Prabowo If The Indonesian Economy Grows Above 5.5 Percent

JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu), Purbaya Yudhi Sadivewa is targeting economic growth in the fourth quarter of 2025 of 5.6 to 5.7 percent.

To pursue the taret, Purbaya admitted that he would 'ronda' so that all government projects would be carried out properly.

"I will make sure that happens, so I come here to ensure that our programs can run and can grow faster," said Purbaya at the Bloomberg Technoz Ecoverse 2025, Thursday, November 20.

If this target can be implemented, Purbaya joked that he would receive a gift from President Prabowo Subianto.

"If I am above 5.5 given a gift, I want to pursue the prize actually. I don't know what the prize is," said Purbaya.

Moreover, he continued, the government is targeting economic growth of 8 percent in the next few years.

For this reason, he ensures that he will run fiscal, monetary and private machines to boost the economy.

"Fiscal, monetary, it's easy, is it close, right? The road is almost the same, it's in rhythm," he said.

Di private sector, Purbaya mengaku telah melakukan berbagai upaya antara lain melindungi pasar domestik dari barang-barang illegal, bahkan upaya menghilangkan hambatan di industri dalam negeri.

"Private sectornya selain saya melindungi pasar domestik dari barang-barang ilegal saya juga akan, sudah ke beberapa industri dan kita akan hilangkan bottleneck yang yang menghambat kemajuan industri dalam negeri," tandas Purbaya.

At the private sector, Purbaya admitted that he had made various efforts, including protecting the domestic market from illegal goods, even efforts to eliminate obstacles in the domestic industry.

"In addition to protecting the domestic market from illegal goods, I will also go to several industries and we will eliminate bottlenecks that hinder the progress of the domestic industry," said Purbaya.
