Prabowo Instructs Acceleration Of Budget Absorption Towards The End Of The Year

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto directed Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, to immediately coordinate between ministries and ensure that budget absorption runs optimally before the close of the fiscal year.

The directive was conveyed by Prabowo in a cabinet meeting before leaving for Sydney, Australia, on Tuesday, November 11.

"The President also assigned the Minister of State Secretary to immediately coordinate and check the absorption of the budget and use of transfers to regions managed by regional heads towards the end of this year," said Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya in his statement, quoted Friday, November 14.

Referring to data from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) from the Ministry of Finance, the realization of regional expenditures until November 13, 2025 has only reached Rp839.49 trillion or 59.42 percent of the total ceiling of Rp1,412.74 trillion.

This achievement is lower than the same period in the previous year, where the realization of spending was already at IDR 1,059.75 trillion or 73.57 percent of the ceiling of IDR 1,440.46 trillion.

Of the total regional spending as of November 13, 2025, the largest allocation was absorbed in employee spending of Rp353.76 trillion or 68.82 percent of the ceiling.

Kemudian belanja barang dan jasa sebesar Rp236,23 triliun atau 56,62 persen, belanja modal Rp79,24 triliun atau 37,45 persen, serta belanja lainnya mencapai Rp170,24 triliun atau 63,08 persen.

Then goods and services expenditures amounted to Rp236.23 trillion or 56.62 percent, capital expenditures Rp79.24 trillion or 37.45 percent, and other expenditures reached Rp170.24 trillion or 63.08 percent.

The distribution of transfers to regions and village funds (TKDD) has been realized amounting to Rp630.03 trillion or 71.23 percent of the ceiling, while local revenue (PAD) has reached Rp967.34 trillion or 71.57 percent of the ceiling.
