JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) revealed that the British oil and gas giant Shell Plc plans to re-enter and invest in Indonesia.
Head of SKK Migas Djoko Siswanto said Shell had joint study together with the Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (Kufpec) to explore potential in five regions in Indonesia.
"Two offshore areas in West Sulawesi and 3 offshore areas in Bali and West Nusa Tenggara," Djoko said, quoted Thursday, November 13.
He continued, to explore this potential, Shell's participation rights in this project are known to be 50 percent, while the other 50 percent are narrowed by Kufpec.

Djoko said, there are big names such as Chevron, TotalEnergies, and Shell who have expressed their commitment to working on Indonesian oil and gas fields.
