JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported that online transactions from e-retails and marketplaces in the third quarter of 2025 grew by 6.19 percent on a quarterly basis (quarter to quarter/qtq), along with the increase in online trading activities in various regions.

BPS Deputy for Balance and Statistics Analysis Moh Edy Mahmud revealed that several commodities that are widely purchased by the public online include the categories of personal care, household appliances, transportation, recreation, and sports, as well as clothes.

"The transaction value of these various commodity groups has increased in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the second quarter of 2025," said Edy as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 5.

To note, the information and communication business field (infokom) itself grew by 9.65 percent on an annual basis (yoy), making it the fourth highest among other business field growth after education services, company services, and other services.
