JAKARTA - Perum Bulog Pemerintah Kabupaten (Pemkab) Muara Enim agreed to build post-harvest infrastructure in the region. This step was taken as an effort to strengthen synergies in supporting the development of the regional food sector.
The cooperation is contained in the Joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) entitled "Development of Infrastructure after Panen Perum Bulog in Muara Enim Regency". The signing was carried out by the Director of Procurement of Perum Bulog with Muara Enim Regent in Jakarta, Monday, October 27.
This collaboration is a tangible manifestation of Bulog's commitment and the Muara Enim Regency Government to build a strong food ecosystem through strengthening infrastructure for handling crop products.
Dalam kerja sama tersebut, Pemkab Muara Enim berencana melakukan hibah barang milik daerah berupa tanah yang akan digunakan oleh Perum Bulog untuk pembangunan infrastruktur pasca panen serta fasilitas pendukung lainnya.
Director of Procurement of Perum Bulog, Prihasto Setyanto said that this collaboration is part of Bulog's strategy to increase post-harvest capacity and strengthen the company's role in maintaining national food availability and stability.

Prihasto said that post-harvest infrastructure development in Muara Enim Regency is expected to be an example of positive synergy between SOEs and local governments in strengthening the national food supply chain.
