Bank Jakarta Achieves The 2025 ESG Excellence Award, Commits To Encourage Sustainable Business

JAKARTA - Bank Jakarta won the 2025 ESG Excellence Award Regional Banking for its contribution to promoting sustainable economic growth through support for the MSME sector and empowerment of local communities.

Director of Finance & Strategy of Bank Jakarta, Basaria Martha Juliana said, this achievement is a motivation to continue to strengthen the application of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in all business lines.

"Thank you to shareholders, customers, and all stakeholders for their trust and support. This award is energy for us to continue to innovate and expand the positive impact," said Basaria Martha in a written statement received by VOI, Friday, October 17.

The ESG Excellence Award is part of a series of Road to CNBC Indonesia Awards which assess institutions based on business, financial, and corporate governance (Good Corporate Governance).

Bank Jakarta is considered successful in integrating the principle of sustainability in business strategies and risk management.

Basaria also expressed his appreciation to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a shareholder for its support for the transformation of Bank Jakarta towards a stronger and more sustainable institution.

"Commitment to sustainability is key to building resilient institutions amid global uncertainty," he added.

Sementara itu, Sekretaris Perusahaan Bank Jakarta, Arie Rinaldi, mengatakan perseroan terus memperluas inklusi ekonomi melalui pemberdayaan UMKM.

Salah satu inisiatif terbaru adalah kolaborasi dengan Indogrosir dalam peresmian Toko Mandiri Indogrosir (TMI) Difabel, sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap kemandirian ekonomi dan model usaha ritel inklusif.

“Bank Jakarta berkomitmen menciptakan ekosistem UMKM yang modern, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan,” tutup Arie.

Meanwhile, Bank Jakarta Corporate Secretary, Arie Rinaldi, said the company continues to expand economic inclusion through empowering MSMEs.

One of the newest initiatives is collaboration with Indogrosir in the inauguration of the Disabled Mandiri Indogrosir (TMI) Store, as a form of support for economic independence and an inclusive retail business model.

"Bank Jakarta is committed to creating a modern, inclusive, and sustainable MSME ecosystem," concluded Arie.
