JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) will revitalize and renovate 1,421 madrasas throughout Indonesia.

Quoted from the official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Wednesday, October 15, the revitalization and renovation will be carried out through the madrasa best result program (PHTC).

PHTC itself is a government initiative to accelerate the equitable distribution of the quality of public services, one of which is through the revitalization of madrasa to provide better and more comfortable education.

"Based on Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025, there are 2,120 madrasas to be handled by the Ministry of Public Works. After a survey, there were 1,421 madrasas that met the criteria for revitalization and renovation," explained the account.

Later, the handling of the construction of 1,421 madrasas will be carried out with two schemes. The first scheme, namely the single year contract (SYC), which is planned to handle 556 madrasas in 26 provinces in June-December 2026.

While the second scheme is multi years contract (MYC), which is planned to handle 865 madrasas in 27 provinces in October 2025-July 2026.
