JAKARTA - SEZ Industropolis Batang continues to strengthen Indonesia's role in encouraging green investment through participation in the Central Java Business Forum with the theme The Future of Green Investment to Enhance Sustainable Growth and Circular Economy which was held at the Indonesian Pavilion, World Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, on October 8, 2025.

In the forum, the Industropolis Batang delegation delivered an explanation regarding the position of the region as a national priority project with a development area of 4,300 hectares and the status of the Special Economic Zone (KEK) which provided various fiscal incentives and ease of investment. This presentation emphasizes the superiority of the Batang Induststropolis in terms of logistics connectivity, operational cost efficiency, and full government support through the Danantara and Danareksa superholding structures.
After the forum, the delegation continued to visit the Tokyo Indonesia Investment Promotion Center (IIPC) to strengthen coordination in Japan's investment promotion to Indonesia. The meeting marks an important step in building a potential investor pipeline that is in line with the direction of the development of the green industry and the circular economy in Central Java.
As a follow-up to investment promotion activities, the Industropolis Batang SEZ team also carried out business matching sessions with two leading Japanese companies engaged in water technology and environmental management, as well as infrastructure and engineering.
This meeting aims to explore potential partnerships in the development of sustainable water management solutions, smart infrastructure, and environmentally friendly technology that can be implemented in the Industropolis industrial area of Batang SEZ.
