BP AKR Explains Reasons For Wanting To Buy Base Fuel From PERTAMINA

JAKARTA - PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR), which is a joint venture company of BP and AKR Corporindo, has opened its voice regarding the news that they will buy pure fuel oil (BBM) or base fuel from Pertamina.

In his statement to the media, BP-AKR management said that his party is committed to providing quality fuel by ensuring that every step of collaboration is measurable and responsible.

"This is in line with the direction of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia in a meeting on September 19, 2025," the management wrote, quoted on Tuesday, October 7.

Management also emphasized that currently it is still coordinating intensively with all relevant parties, to ensure the fulfillment of base fuel supplies that meet three aspects of governance, namely compliance, suitability of specifications and quality standards, and commercial.

"Our focus remains the same, namely ensuring consistent product quality, as well as providing the best service for customers," continued BP-AKR management.

BP-AKR also appreciates the openness built in a constructive dialogue in order to achieve the best solution for all parties, especially the community.

"BP-AKR remains committed to accelerating the normalization of fuel supply to support community mobility," said management.

Previously, Pertamina Patra Niaga Corporate Secretary Roberth MV Dumatubun said Vivo, AKR Corporindo Tbk, and Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR) agreed to follow up on further efforts related to the purchase of base fuel from Pertamina. Just so you know, APR is a joint venture between AKR and BP.

"Vivo, APR, and AKR have agreed to follow up on more technical talks," said Robert in a statement to the media, Monday, October 6.

Roberth detailed the follow-up to the next stage, including agreement on statement documents in order to maintain GCG and Regulations such as Anti- Monopoly Statements, Money Laundry, Bribery and so on.

Selanjutnya perusahaan-perusahaan tersebut jug akanmenyampaikan kebutuhan komoditi yang dibutuhkan serta melakukan pembahasan terkait spesifikasi produk, key terms dan persyaratan umum atau General Terms and Conditions (GTC).

"Pertamina akan menyampaikan kembali spesifikasi produk yang dapat memenuhi requirement semua badan usaha dan key term termasuk join surveyor untuk dikonfirmasi oleh badan usaha swasta terkait," lanjut Roberth.

Apabila badan usaha Swasta setuju, lanjut dia, maka akan dilaksanakan proses pengadaan komoditi tersebut.

Selanjutnya pemenang pengadaan akan disampaikan kepada badan usaha swasta dalam lingkup penyedia kargo, best price dan volume kargo.

Furthermore, these companies will also convey the needs of the commodities needed and conduct discussions regarding product specifications, key terms and general requirements or General Terms and Conditions (GTC).

"Pertamina will reiterate product specifications that can meet the requirement of all business entities and key terms including joint surveyors to be confirmed by the relevant private business entities," continued Roberth.

If the private business entity agrees, he continued, the commodity procurement process will be carried out.

Furthermore, the procurement winners will be submitted to private enterprises within the scope of cargo providers, best prices and cargo volumes.
