BP-AKR Commitment To Accelerate Fuel Resilience At Gas Stations

JAKARTA - BP-AKR is committed to accelerating the normalization of fuel supply so that it is re-available at BP public refueling stations (SPBU).

"This effort is in line with the direction of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia at the meeting dated September 19, 2025", said BP-AKR management in an official statement quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 7.

BP-AKR management also emphasized the company's commitment to providing quality fuel.

In order to provide these fuels, BP-AKR ensures that every collaborative step, especially with Pertamina Patra Niaga, takes place in a measured and responsible manner.

BP-AKR management said that the company continues to coordinate intensively with all relevant parties to ensure the fulfillment of the supply of base fuel or pure fuel that meets three aspects of governance.

The three aspects of governance include compliance, suitability of specifications and quality standards, and commercial.

"Our focus remains the same, namely ensuring consistent product quality, as well as providing the best service for customers," wrote BP-AKR management.

Previously, Pertamina Patra Niaga conveyed that PT Vivo Energy Indonesia (Vivo) and PT Aneka Petroindo Raya (APR)-AKR Corporindo Tbk (Bp gas station manager) agreed to follow up on cooperation in importing fuel oil (BBM) to more technical talks.

"Vivo, APR, and AKR have agreed to follow up on more technical talks," said Acting Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga Roberth MV Dumatubun to ANTARA from Jakarta, Monday.

Roberth explained that the next stage of discussing fuel import cooperation is an agreement regarding statement documents in order to maintain Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and regulations, such as antitrust statements, money laundering, bribery, and others.

Roberth emphasized that the process went with an agreement from the three private business entities, because cargo shipments were in the same procurement and were not separated.

On the other hand, Exxon and Shell have not been able to continue talks because Shell needs to coordinate with the head office, while Exxon will discuss the needs of November because it still has sufficient stock.
