KPI Ensures No Casualties In Dumai Refinery Fire Incident

PT Refinery Pertamina Internasional confirmed that there were no casualties in the fire incident at Dumai Refinery, Riau Province.

Area Manager Communication, Relations, & CSR Dumai Refinery, Agustiawan said, during a fire incident in one of the operating units, the Pertamina Dumai Refinery emergency response team managed to extinguish the fire at 23.20 WIB.

"Handling can be done in a short time so it does not spread to other areas and does not cause casualties," he said, Thursday, October 2.

As a mitigation measure, continued Agustiawan, his party also carried out security of the incident area to ensure there was no further potential danger.

He claims that currently, the main operations of the refinery are still safe, and community activities around the refinery area are not disrupted.

Meanwhile, the process of investigating the cause of the incident is being carried out to prevent similar incidents in the future.

"The safety of workers, the community, and facilities is our top priority. Thank you for the prayers and support," said Agustiawan.
