Working On The Irrigation Project In Banten, Waskita Karya Pockets New Contracts Of IDR 415.44 Billion

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) won a new contract in the form of Rehabilitation of the Regional Main Network for Irrigation (DI) Regional Authority in Banten Province Packages I, III and IV. The total value of the contract reached Rp415.44 billion.

Director of Operations II Waskita Karya Dhetik Ariyanto stated that the project is planned to be completed within three months, from September to December 2025.

The project's rehabilitation aims to revive the main function of irrigation as a support for agricultural productivity.

Through the improvement and improvement of the quality of the channels carried out, it is hoped that DI will be able to distribute water more efficiently, stable and sustainable.

"The benefits of this irrigation network not only ensure the availability of water for agricultural land, but also reduce water loss due to leakage. In the end, it can encourage an increase in the planting index in the service area," said Dhetik in an official statement received by VOI, Wednesday, October 1.

In package I, he said, there are 10 in Serang Regency and Serang City which will be rehabilitated. The total area reaches more than 2,500 hectares (ha).

Meanwhile, in Package III, there are six DIs in Lebak Regency that will be repaired, with a total area of 2,678 ha. Then in Package IV, consisting of three DIs in Lebak and Kota, the total area reaches 2,825 ha.

According to Dhetik, the success of rehabilitation of the Banten irrigation network can also strengthen the government's efforts to realize food self-sufficiency that is competitive for the future.

Currently, WSKT is also working on the Irrigation of the Lembankan Belitang Project in South Sumatra, Modernization in the Range, DI Salamdarma and Kamojing in West Java.

Previously, the company had completed the construction of Irrigation Mrican Package 2 in East Java.
