Government Ensures Credit For 1,000 Liquid Red And White Kopdes Next Week

JAKARTA - The government has confirmed that credit or loans from the State-Owned Association (Himbara) Bank for the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes) will be disbursed soon next week. In the early stages, there were 1,000 cooperative units that were prioritized for loans.

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan revealed that as many as 20,000 inventory processes have been completed for the implementation of the Red and White Kopdes. He said 1,000 units would receive funding.

Meanwhile, Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono said that currently all preparations have been completed, starting from land verification to completion of regulations that had previously been an obstacle.

"So we are ready, we just have to check the land for the location for the construction of the warehouse and the outlets, after that, it's done, we can go straight away. This starts from 1,000 first that are stuck, then after that 20,000 and so on," said Ferry.

According to Ferry, this financing will be channeled through all Himbara banks and the Revolving Fund Management Institution (LPDB) under the Ministry of Cooperatives. The loan ceiling for one Kopdes is set at IDR 3 billion.

"For 1,000 assumptions, IDR 3 billion. In this fast time, if possible, the Coordinating Minister has directed it as soon as possible. If the Minister of Finance has prepared the budget, everything is ready," he said.

Lebih lanjut, ia menjelaskan, kredit tahap awal ini difokuskan pada pembangunan gudang dan gerai Kopdes.

Hal itu dianggap penting karena koperasi desa memiliki fungsi ganda, yakni sebagai penyedia sekaligus penyalur barang, serta offtaker bagi produk masyarakat desa.

“Karena memang semuanya inginnya sempurna. Jadi pembangunan gudang dan gerai itu menjadi sebuah keharusan. Karena ada fungsi kooperasi desa itu juga menjadi offtaker. Selain sebagai penyedia dan penyalur barang. Jadi harus satu paket,” katanya.
