Deputy Minister Of Cooperatives Affirms Red And White Kopdes Is Not Top-Down Program

Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah emphasized that the Red and White Village Cooperative Program (Kopdes/Kel) is one of the government's strategic programs.

He made sure this program was not a "Top-Down" program but a program that focuses on "Buttem-Up".

According to him, the program to form 80,000 units of Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih even though it was initiated by President Prabowo Subianto, this program was actually run and managed by the village community.

This is proof that the presence of the Kopdes/Kel program is to place the village community as no longer just an object but as the main subject of economic actors.

"So far, the village community has always been the target of the market, now we are back. With Kopdes, people are not only objects, but market players. From them, by them, and for them," he said, Friday, September 26.

Farida detailed that the ten provinces are Aceh, Bengkulu, Jambi, Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Gorontalo, Papua Mountains, South Papua.

In this Regional Coordination Meeting, an interactive dialogue is held to solve the problems faced by the Red and White Kopdes/Kel in each region.

As an effort to accelerate the formation of populist and cooperative-based economic institutions, he continued, the government only helps and facilitates collaboration with various parties including BUMN/BUMD.

Through this collaborative effort, it is hoped that the Kopdes/Kel can operate immediately so that it will immediately provide the benefits directly felt by the village community.

Farida emphasized that the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih program is different from the old pattern that is top-down.

Once formed and operational independently, the government will provide flexibility for administrators/managers in carrying out their business practices.

The government is only a facilitator and helps with surveillance.

Farida also underlined that the presence of the Kopdes / Kel Merah Putih must not stop only as a distributor of government subsidies. In the future, the Kopdes / Kel Merah Putih must be a productive center of each village, as well as an aggregator of the products of the community.

"The cooperative must be a storefront by the village community," he said.

Farida invites all parties to be involved in efforts to accelerate operationalization. Collaborative work is needed both from the central government, local governments, BUMN/BUMD and community members.

"HR at the Ministry of Cooperatives (Ministry of Cooperatives) is limited, so I ask for faster cooperation and adaptation with movement and dynamics in the field in an effort to support the acceleration of operations of the Red and White Village Cooperative," he said.

Dia menargetkan, dalam waktu dekat sekitar 1.000 unit Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih akan mendapatkan dukungan pencairan pembiayaan awal dari Bank Himbara untuk mendukung tahap operasionalisasi.

“Database sudah kami siapkan, termasuk pencairan Pembiayaan melalui Himbara. Ujung tombak program Kopdes ini ada di Kemenkop, tetapi sejatinya ini adalah kerja gotong royong bersama mitra,” tandas dia.

He targets that in the near future around 1,000 units of the Red and White Kopdes/Kel will receive support for the initial disbursement of financing from Himbara Bank to support the operationalization stage.

"We have prepared the database, including the disbursement of Financing through Himbara. The spearhead of the Kopdes program is in the Kemenkop, but actually this is mutual cooperation with partners," he said.
