Can Cut Jakarta's Time To 1.5 Hours, Take A Peek At The Progress Of The Bocimi Toll Road Construction

JAKARTA - The Bogor 'Ciawi' Sukabumi (Bocimi) Toll Road Project continues to be accelerated to this day. Moreover, the toll road is included in the list of national strategic projects (PSN) to strengthen connectivity in West Java.

Quoted from the upload on the official Instagram account @pupr_bpjt, Saturday, September 20, the Bocimi Toll Road has 4 sections, with 2 of them fully operational. The details, section 1 of the Ciawi 'Cigombong segment 15.35 kilometers (km) and section 2 of the Cigombong' Cibadak segment 11.05 km.

Meanwhile, currently there are two toll sections that have been completed. The details, section 3 of the Cibadak 'West Sukabumi segment with a length of 13.70 km and section 4 of the West Sukabumi' East Sukabumi segment with a length of 13.05 km.

"(Progress) section 3 (achieved) 53.36 percent with a target completion in the third quarter of 2026," explained BPJT.

Meanwhile, BPJT continued, for section 4 of the Sukabumi Barat segment, East Sukabumi is still in the land acquisition stage with progress reaching 10.37 percent.

When it is fully connected, the toll road will support the development of areas and economic equity while at the same time making it easier for tourists to go to superior destinations, such as SEZ Lido, Geopark Ciletuh 'Pelabuhan Ratu, Situ Gunung, Pelabuhan Ratu and various other natural attractions.

With the operation of two sections of the Bocimi Toll Road, now the travel time from Jakarta 'Sukabumi can be taken only about 1.5 hours from the previous taking about 5 hours under normal conditions and can reach 9 hours when traffic is heavy.

Meanwhile, the Cigombong 'Cibadak journey from the previous 1.5 hours can now be 10-15 minutes only thanks to the presence of the toll road. This makes it easier for motorists who go to Pelabuhan Ratu and Kota Sukabumi.

"Sukabumi Ciawi Toll Road speeds up travel time, parses national road density and opens efficient logistics access from Sukabumi to Bogor and Jakarta," explained BPJT.

"In addition to increasing regional competitiveness, this toll road also makes it easier to travel to natural tourist destinations as an alternative vacation close to Jakarta," he concluded.
