JAKARTA - KAI Commuter recorded a positive performance during the August 2025 period by recording the volume of Jabodetabek KRL users as many as 28,946,724 people.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Joni Martinus said, this figure increased by almost 3 percent or as many as 730,000 people more than in the last August 2024 period which reached 28,209,145 people.

"The period from January to August 2025 was 233,459,459 people or also 9 percent higher than the same period in 2024 which was at 214,265,812 people," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, September 9.

Joni said this increase reflects the increasingly important transportation to become the main choice of people in the Jabodetabek area and its surroundings. According to him, this is in line with the increasing concern of the community in reducing urban problems.

"Currently the Commuter Line is the main choice of transportation for the community for mobility because it is affordable, safe, comfortable. In addition to being effective in reducing congestion on the highway and being able to reduce the current level of pollution," said Joni.

Joni admitted that the increase in user volume from January to August 2025 was also supported by the implementation of the Train Travel Graphic (Gapeka) only starting February 2025 yesterday.

In Gapeka 2025, KAI Commuter operates 1,063 Jabodetabek Commuter Line trips per day, or 15 more trips than Gapeka previously, which is 1,048 trips.

In the Jabodetabek area itself from January to August 2025 yesterday, Bogor Station is the largest departure station with a volume of 11,985,152 people, followed by Tanah Abang Station with 11,127,617 people, and Citayam Station with 7,540,449 people.

"Meanwhile, the stations with the most users are Bogor Station with 11,979,975 people, Tanah Abang Station (10,519,808 people), and Sudirman Station (8,008,139 people)," he said.

Joni said, for the period January to August 2025, KAI Commuter also recorded a volume of transit users at Manggarai Station as many as 37,870,806 people or an average transit volume of 160,000 to 170,000 people per day.

"At Tanah Abang Station, there were 29,154,247 people or an average of 120,000 to 150,000 people per day and 16,765,822 people at Duri Station or an average of 75,000 people per day," he said.

Joni said, in addition to increasing user volume, from January to August 2025, another achievement was recorded, namely the timeliness performance of the Jabodetabek Commuter Line or On Time Performance (OTP) which remained consistent.

During that period, continued Joni, the timeliness of Jabodetabek Commuter line departures reached 98.7 percent and the accuracy of arrivals reached 98 percent.

This Commuter Line is one of the main performances and quality of public transportation services. We will continue to maintain and improve this, so that KAI Commuter is always the main choice for public transportation, but also mobility partners who are always reliable, "added Joni.

KAI Commuter also continues to strive for various steps to make it easier for the public to use the Commuter Line service.

This service has also been integrated with other transportation, such as long-distance trains, Jabodebek LRT, MRT, and other land transportation modes.

KAI Commuter would like to express their deepest gratitude to the entire community for making Commuter Line as part of their lifestyle in using transportation.

"In accordance with the company's vision, which is to be part of the urban community's lifestyle through the best urban transportation management in Indonesia, KAI Commuter continues to improve services to all its users," concluded Joni.
