Coordinating Minister Zulhas Says PTLSa's Permit Will Be Completed Soon, Development Is Targeted To Be Completed In A Year

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan stated that licensing for the construction of a waste power plant (PLTSa), which is a national strategic project, will be completed soon, and along with that, the construction of the plant is targeted to be completed in a period of 1 year to 1.5 years.

Zulhas continued that his financing and investment cooperation will be carried out by the Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara), which is Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund.

"(The permit) is almost complete, we just have to accept it, the parallel has been running for 3 months to 6 months, the permit will be completed, 1 year to 1.5 years the construction will be completed. It can be noted, (calculated) starting from today," Zulhas said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, September 4.

Another target, Zulhas continued that the PLTSa in 33 provinces was completed within 2 years.

At the same location on a separate occasion, the Minister of Investment and CEO of Danantara Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said the government regulation (PP) for the construction of PLTSa in 33 provinces would soon be completed.

"We will launch the process. There will be 33 points later, but we will start in Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, Semarang and Surabaya," said Rosan in response to reporters' questions when met after a limited meeting with President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace. RI, Jakarta, Thursday.

Rosan continued that the PLTSa Jakarta was built in four locations.

"(We) will conduct an open, transparent tender so that we hope that by the end of this year the process can start," said Rosan.

Regarding the investment cooperation, Rosan said it was open to all groups.

"It is open, the investors (can) be anyone, but we have determined the standardization, and also everything is much clearer in terms of pricing and one price, 20 cents. So, there are no more negotiations, the price is clear 20 cents," continued Rosan.

Pembangunan PLTSa di 33 provinsi merupakan strategi pemerintah untuk mengatasi timbunan sampah yang menggunung di berbagai daerah, terutama di sejumlah tempat pembuangan akhir (TPA) yang telah kelebihan kapasitas.

Proyek pembangunan 33 PLTSa itu merupakan kelanjutan dari pembangunan 12 PLTSa yang telah berjalan pada tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Walaupun demikian, hingga saat ini baru ada dua PLTSa yang beroperasi penuh, yaitu PLTSa Putri Cempo di Surakarta, Jawa Tengah, dan PLTSa Benowo di Surabaya, Jawa Timur.

The construction of PLTSa in 33 provinces is the government's strategy to overcome piles of mounting waste in various regions, especially in a number of final disposal sites (TPA) that have excess capacity.

The 33 PLTSa development project is a continuation of the construction of 12 PLTSa that have been running in previous years. However, until now there are only two PLTSa that are fully operational, namely PLTSa Putri Cempo in Surakarta, Central Java, and PLTSa Benowo in Surabaya, East Java.
